Amie Taylor

Amie has been devoted to the study and practice of Yoga since 2003. Amie was originally certified in Classical Ashtanga Yoga at The Salt Spring Centre of Yoga. Since then her style has been influenced by her studies with Judith Hanson Lasater, Mukunda Stiles (Yoga Therapy), Gioia Irwin of Vijnana Yoga and Susi Hately Aldous of Functional Synergy.

Always encouraging students to honour their limits and work alone on the mat, Amie teaches primarily a Hatha practice integrating various Prananyama (breath work) techniques, structural alignment, Biotensegrity principals and Ayurveda.

Amie's classes aim to take students through a practice working on balancing all 3 Doshas (constitutions) in Vinyasa/flow style, bringing a sense of stillness to the mind and space in the body.

Amie also teaches customized classes for private groups and individuals, working with Yoga in therapeutic application.

Amie is currently away on maternity leave.
